Disney Star Zendaya, known for her time on the television show “Shake It Up,” will perform this summer at the Stanislaus County Fair.
“Zendaya is a well-known Disney star with an incredible voice,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “She has made a name for herself in the music and television industry and her performance will be a success with our younger demographic.”
Zendaya released her self-titled debut album in 2013. The first single from the album, “Replay,” was certified platinum for selling more than 1 million copies in the U.S. this January.
She will star in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Zapped,” which premieres this summer. Disney also recently announced that Zendaya will star and co-produce in a top line Disney Channel “spy pilot.”
Currently, Zendaya voices the character “Fern” in Disney Channel’s animated special “Pixie Hollow Games” and performs the theme for the special, “Dig Down Deeper.”
Zendaya will perform at 8:30 p.m. July 16 on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage. The concert is hosted by 95.1 KHOP and is free with the price of admission.
The 2014 Stanislaus County Fair opens July 11 for a 10-day run. Discounted fair admission tickets go on sale May 3.
