Turlock Police arrested a man for attempted burglary and theft Tuesday afternoon, following a short foot pursuit with the suspect.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, police responded to a burglary in progress after witnesses reported seeing a suspect attempting to break into a residence in the 4300 block of Bardini Way.

Police later saw a man fitting the suspect’s description coming out of a backyard on Dancer Way, then fleeing. He was later identified as Eduardo Carbajal, 26.

After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody at the canal bank near Taylor Road.

Carbajal was also booked for violating parole.
