It may be the middle of January, but the Stanislaus County Fair is already booking big name acts for this summer's run in Turlock.
Five-time Grammy winner Wynonna Judd and her band The Big Noise will perform on opening night of the 2014 Stanislaus County Fair, July 11. The concert will begin at 8:30 p.m. and is free with the price of fair admission.
“Wynonna is a staple in the country music industry for over 30 years,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “We are extremely thrilled to have such a legend perform at our fair.”
Judd has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide during her 30-year career. She has charted more than 20 No. 1 hits with songs like “To Be Loved By You” and “I Saw the Light,” and garnered countless awards.
Judd's last album, “Sing: Chapter 1,” was released in 2009. Her most recent song, “Something You Can't Live Without,” came out in March 2013.
The 2014 Stanislaus County Fair will open July 11 for a 10-day run. Discounted admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands, and the Fair season pass will go on sale May 3.
