Out doing some last-minute Christmas shopping? Consider picking up a toy or two for the Salvation Army of Turlock.
Turlock Salvation Army Major Debi Shrum reports that toy donations are roughly half of normal for this time of year. The Salvation Army specifically needs toys for 9-to 10-year-old children and toddlers.
“We just need simple toys like craft kits or soccer balls, no Xboxes or tablets are needed,” she said.
From 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, the Turlock Salvation Army will be holding a massive toy give-away to more than 6,000 underprivileged local children at the Turlock Fruit Company.
Donations can be made at the Turlock Salvation Army, 893 Lander Way, any Turlock Fire Station, or during the give-away on Saturday. The Turlock Fruit Company is located at 500 S. Tully Rd.
