Turlock women can continue to look to the Emanuel Cancer Center for mammograms, as its women’s diagnostic center has been recertified in accordance with the federal Mammography Quality Standards Act for its fifth straight year.
The Ruby E. Bergman Women’s Diagnostic Center was recertified after it met all requirements during its annual inspection.
“Since moving to the Emanuel Cancer Center, the staff at the Women’s Diagnostic Center have not only passed each yearly inspection but for all five years have passed without any violation, penalties or corrective action,” said Emanuel Cancer Center Executive Director Michael Iltis.
“This is a remarkable outcome, and due to the outstanding work of the Center’s medical director, Dr. Shawna Escobar, Manager Denise Sells and the entire staff.”
Emanuel Medical Center boasts that its diagnostic center offers the latest advancements in the detection of breast cancer, including the latest in digital mammography.
