Two Stanislaus County Sheriff's Deputies recently earned top marks at a pistol shooting competition, which raised funds for the Wounded Warrior Project.
The “Top Cop” Pistol Competition, held at Jackson Rancheria, is an annual test of marksmanship for law enforcement professionals.
The two-man team of Stanislaus County Sheriff's Deputies Andrew Mulgrew and Micheal Maze earned fifth place in team scoring. Mulgrew also tied for third overall in the individual competition.
“I’m very proud of our deputy sheriffs” said Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson. “They’ve represented the Sheriff’s Office with pride and honor by supporting our veterans”.
The fundraiser event raised nearly $20,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps severely injured military service members transition to civilian life.
