Walnut Elementary Education Center and the City of Turlock will team up to host a free fair to raise awareness of energy conservation and demonstrate the collective power of simply, energy-saving actions.
The Fourth Annual Walnut Energy Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Walnut Elementary Education Center, 4219 N. Walnut Rd.
The Energy Faire is a community event that will entail a variety of exhibit booths, demonstrations, kids’ activities, and food and concessions. New to the event this year are solar-powered go kart rides.
The event will provide a unique opportunity for students, residents and businesses within the community to participate in free, fun activities and learn about local businesses and vendors that offer professional advice and cost-cutting strategies to help implement energy efficiency solutions at home, work and play.
Sponsorships are welcome and vendor booth applications are available by contacting Toni Cordell at tcordell@turlock.ca.us or by calling (209) 668-5599 ext.4474, or Bret Sutterley at bsutterley@turlock.k12.ca.us.
