Two brawls rocked Turlock's Almond Tree Diner and Lounge early Sunday morning, one of which resulted in a stabbing.
The first incident occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, when the Turlock Police Department responded to a call about a group of people fighting at the restaurant. According to Sgt. Stephen Webb of the Turlock Police Department, most of the individuals had left the area by the time police responded.
Two men – William McCombs, 42 of Turlock, and Robert Hernandez, 28 of Turlock – were arrested by police officers for public intoxication as a result of the call.
Just hours later, at approximately 2:02 a.m., the Turlock Police Department received a second call regarding another fight at the same location. Upon arrival, officers located two victims – one who suffered a stab wound to the arm, and another who suffered from a head injury. Both were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
According to Webb no arrests were made during the second incident, as suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.
