The inside of New Life Christian Center looked like a scene out of “The Avengers” last week, as the church's annual Kids Summer Adventure took on the theme of “Superhero Spectacular” – bringing in over 800 kids who were more than ready to gear up in superhero capes.

The weeklong camp offered various activities for children and families to participate in, including organized indoor and outdoor games, crafts, singing, watching live skits on the elaborately decorated stage, spending time together with their friends, and much more.

“It’s really an exciting, amazing experience for kids,” said NLCC Senior Pastor Dave Larson. “It was a great week and it was amazing to see families and kids having a great time.”

With characters such as Ironman, Batman, Superman, Captain America, Thor, Flash and The Incredible Hulk within the building, children of all ages couldn’t wait to get inside.

Even adults were enjoying the excitement, with the first night bringing in more than 250 adult volunteers to the camp – some of whom were also adorned in their own red superhero capes.
