An unidentified pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision early Wednesday morning on Highway 99, just south of the Linwood Avenue overcrossing.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a male victim was hit and killed in the roadway at approximately 1:17 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 99. The vehicle that struck the man fled northbound from the collision scene.
At this time, CHP has not identified the pedestrian or the vehicle involved.
“The incident is currently still in investigation,” said CHP Officer John Martinez. “We’re still following some leads and the investigation is in process.”
