A Thursday morning Turlock Police Department raid led to the arrest of two Turlockers on torture charges.
Salvador Rendon, 42, of Turlock, and Martha Ferguson, 35, of Turlock, were both arrested on torture charges in a Linwood Avenue home Thursday morning. The arrests followed a Turlock Police Department investigation, which began following an April 17 report, according to Turlock Police spokesperson Mayra Lewis.
Rendon was also arrested for assault with a deadly weapon – a handgun. The Immigration and Naturalization Service has placed a 48 hour hold on Rendon, meaning he is a foreign national.
The Turlock Police Department is expected to release more information soon, Lewis said.
