Calling all classic car lovers: Turlock's Hot Rod Diner is the place to be this Saturday.
Starting Saturday Hot Rod Diner will begin holding monthly hot rod shows, running through the end of fall.
“We get anywhere from 20 to 40 cars,” said Ashleigh Johnson, Hot Rod Diner manager.
The shows have run every year since Turlock's Hot Rod Diner opened – about six or seven years ago, Johnson said.
There's no entry fee to participate in the car shows, nor is there a fee to attend.
“We give away plaques for prizes and we also do a 50/50 raffle,” Johnson said.
A DJ plays 50s and 60s music, adding to the classic car atmosphere. And kids' activities will be on offer too, like face painting.
The hot rod shows are held every from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month from April through October, beginning April 6.
Hot Rod Diner will be open during the car show, serving their full menu, beer, and wine.
Turlock's Hot Rod Diner is located at 130 S. Walnut Rd.
