Interested in a summer job? The City of Turlock is currently seeking lifeguards and swim instructors for the summer months.

“We are currently taking interest cards for lifeguards and swim instructors for the 2013 Swim Season,” said Karen Packwood, Recreation Sr. Supervisor at the City of Turlock. “We are asking that all interest cards be submitted no later than April 10 as we will be holding interviews mid-April.”

Although the City of Turlock does not provide courses to attain the necessary certifications, Packwood shared that the certifications could be gained through courses offered by the City of Modesto and the City of Patterson in the upcoming weeks.

Separate certifications are required for lifeguards and swim instructors.

Interested persons are asked to visit the City of Turlock Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Division to fill out an interest card no later than April 10.

The Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Division is located at 144 South Broadway in Turlock.
