A new exhibit highlighting the magical world of science will replace the Rainforest Adventure animal show at the Stanislaus County Fair this year.
As the newest addition to the kids zone at the Stanislaus County Fair, the “Wizards Challenge” will showcase the world of science through various hands-on experiences, intended to spark curiosity in the minds of all participants.
“This educational exhibit is a true staple of what we are trying to showcase at the Fair, which is having fun through education,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “The 8,000 sq. ft of science and magic will have families challenged in a fantasy world of science.”
Guests will be given the opportunity to create human-sized bubbles or high-tech music, manipulate a robotic arm, dance through a wall of light, touch a plasma ball, travel through a 20-foot long rotating dragon’s lair and much more.
Wizard’s Challenge is sponsored by Sky Trek Aviation, along with Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital, and was created by Clay and Elaine Everett; the same groups sponsored and created the highly popular Rainforest Adventure that was showcased at the fair for many years. The science challenges and games are presented by Imagination Gallery, Inc. and have proven to be successful at other fairs and festivals.
The 2013 Stanislaus County Fair opens July 12 for a 10-day run. Discounted fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands and the Fair season pass will go on sale beginning May 4.
