You may have noticed a change in design to your Turlock Irrigation District bill in the past month. Also, your TID electric bill’s envelope in which it will be delivered will be changed in the coming months. The bill will no longer arrive in the brown envelope commonly associated with TID, but instead will be delivered in a white, double-window envelope.
Due to the need for printing equipment replacements, TID evaluated the options and decided to outsource the printing component of the billing process. The last statement redesign was in 1999.
“Based off of customer feedback, we re-designed the bills to incorporate much more information and to provide clarity as to how energy/usage is calculated,” stated TID spokesperson Michelle Reimers.
The back of the bill will include an explanation of charges, payment information, and more.
TID also sent out a notice with the November bills to let customers know that changes would be made to the design of the bill.
The new design for Delinquent and Disconnect Notices began in mid-November, while the regular electric statements began in mid-December.
For the new design, customers should look for white envelopes from TID that read “Statement Enclosed”, as well as white Disconnect Notices instead of the pink envelopes they came in previously.
