Many Turlock and Northern California area residents, serviced by internet provider Charter Communications, are being affected by a major internet outage.
Around 8pm last night, thousands of internet users were reporting the outage.
A Charter Communications phone operator stated that the outage was due to a severed fiber optic cable around the Oakland, California area. Crews are reportedly working to repair the cable, however no estimated time of restoration has been given as of 9:30am.
