On Monday, January 24th, 2022, at 6:56 am, the Turlock Fire Department, Modesto Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported residential working structure fire at a residence in the 1500 block of W Monte Vista Ave, Turlock.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found an abandoned single story single family dwelling fully involved.

Firefighters worked to knock the fire out in the defensive strategy. They were able to get it under control in about thirty minutes.

Firefighters remained on scene for an extended period of time after the fire was out conducting overhaul, investigation, and other post fire activities.

American Medical Response responded to the scene to provide firefighter care, while the Turlock Rural Fire Protection District and Modesto Fire Department provided city coverage while the incident was on-going.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
