Modified Sideshow Vehicle Impounded for Second Time

At about 9:20pm Thursday, Turlock Police Officer Arroyo made a traffic stop at W. Monte Vista Avenue and Crowell Road.

Arroyo made contact with and identified the vehicle’s two occupants.

When Arroyo had his dispatcher run the two, he discovered the driver was on searchable probation for carrying a concealed firearm.

Additionally, a different officer had impounded the vehicle about a month prior and declared it to be modified in violation of the California Vehicle Code. As a result, the vehicle isn’t allowed to be driven until repairs are made or it’s subject to impound.

It’s worth noting this is the same vehicle featured in a Turlock Police Instagram Reel participating in a Killing Cali Streets sideshow and being impounded.

Arroyo removed the vehicle’s occupants and detained the driver for a probation search and inventory, although no contraband was located.

The driver was released from detention.

Three officers then went to the driver’s nearby residence to conduct a probation search there, although no contraband was located there either.

The vehicle was impounded yet again.
