Convicted Pimp Rearrested for Pandering

At about 6:24pm Wednesday, Turlock Police investigators arrived at the Sunrise Inn in the 1300 block of N. Golden State Boulevard to conduct follow-up in a sex offense investigation.

Investigators made a high-risk stop on a vehicle and detained Adonis Burger, 44, of Modesto, at gunpoint.

At about 11:50am Thursday, September 12, Turlock Police had responded to a suspicious incident in the 2300 block of El Capitan Drive.

The caller had stated a man and woman had been in a vehicle and the woman had gotten out and walked away, while the man continued to circle the area.

Officers had arrived in the area and located Burger, discovering he was on post-release community supervision for pimping and had a misdemeanor warrant that he was arrested on at the time.

A thorough investigation later ensued which brought forth information about possible prostitution occurring involving Burger and the same woman from the prior incident.

“Investigators began working on discovering evidence to corroborate Burger was involved in facilitating meetings between the confidential victim and people,” said Sergeant Inderbitzen.

The same victim was also with Burger during the Sunrise Inn stop.

Burger was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of pandering and violation of post-release community supervision.

The investigation remains ongoing.
