Man Arrested for Public Intoxication After Causing Disturbance

At about 7:31pm Sunday, Turlock Police Volunteer Plisko was flagged down about a suspicious person at Mariachi’s Mexican Restaurant in the 2600 block of Geer Road.

Plisko was advised of a suspicious person on a bicycle shouting obscenities at everybody and saying he wanted to fight the meat cutter inside the grocery store.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted Raymond Cornejo, 52, of Turlock, across the street at Taco Bell.

Cornejo was an arson registrant, on probation for battery, and on post-release community supervision for unlawfully causing a fire.

While speaking with Cornejo, Officer Arroyo noticed he was displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol.

Cornejo was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of disorderly conduct.
