At about 1:05am Sunday, Turlock Police responded to a battery in progress at The Udder Place in the 100 block of W. Main Street.
The caller reported there were 7-8 people involved and no weapons had been seen, but hung up before giving any further information.
When the initial officers arrived on scene, they requested others respond “code 3”, meaning with lights and sirens.
Several other officers then arrived on scene and assisted with bringing the situation other control.
During the incident, Francisco Rubalacaba, 32, of Modesto, resisted by ignoring officers’ lawful orders and continuing to fight someone. He was also heavily intoxicated and determined to be the instigator of the incident.
Rubalcaba was arrested and a search incident to arrest led to the discovery of narcotics concealed on his person.
Rubalcaba was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of resisting a peace officer, disorderly conduct, fighting in a public place, and possession of a controlled substance.
