IMG_2136-1

At about 1:38am Sunday, Turlock Police Officer Arroyo got out with a suspicious person at E. Main Street and S. Thor Street.

Arroyo made contact with and identified the man as Joseph Poma, 42, of Riverbank.

Poma had been acting erratically and strangely, which prompted the contact. He had also been contacted by a different officer a couple of mornings prior and tried to square up with him.

When Arroyo had his dispatcher run Poma, he discovered he was on searchable mandatory supervision out of San Luis Obispo County for grand theft.

During a subsequent consent search before the mandatory supervision discovery, methamphetamines were located.

Poma was arrested and released on a citation on the charge of possession of methamphetamines.
