Woman Arrested After Stealing and Ingesting Air Dusters

At about 6:14pm Tuesday, Turlock Police responded to a disturbance in progress at Target in the 3000 block of Countryside Drive.

The caller was loss prevention, who reported a woman was lying on a plant island in the parking lot screaming after they had just escorted her out of the store. She had also stolen three air dusters from the business that she was ingesting and they wanted her arrested for it.

When officers arrived on scene, they located Greta Windrum, 32, of San Francisco, getting up and beginning to walk away with the air dusters.

Officers detained Windrum in handcuffs and based on her behavior and objective symptoms, believed she was under the influence of narcotics.

In her statement, Windrum stated that she likes to ingest air dusters because they cause her euphoria.

After speaking with loss prevention, they agreed to sign a citizen’s arrest.

Windrum was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of public intoxication, theft, committing a public nuisance, and possession of a substance similar to toluene with the intent to ingest it.
