At about 10:47pm Wednesday, Turlock Police Officer Silva made a bicycle stop at Lander Avenue and W. F Street.
Silva made contact with and identified the bicyclist as Robert Thomas, 33, of Turlock.
When Silva had his dispatcher run Thomas, he discovered he had a $65,500 felony bench warrant for auto theft, receiving a stolen vehicle, and driving with a suspended license.
Thomas was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of operating a bicycle during darkness upon a highway without a white light, failing to operate a bicycle upon a highway in the same direction as vehicles, and his warrant.
