At about 4:33pm Wednesday, Turlock Fire, Modesto Fire, Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigation Unit, Turlock Police, and American Medical Response responded to a working structure fire at a residence in the 400 block of S. Thor Street.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found smoke and flames showing from inside the single-story single-family dwelling.
Firefighters immediately began fire attack in the offensive strategy, bringing the fire under control within half an hour.
Crews remained on scene for an extended period of time conducting investigation, overhaul, salvage, and other post-fire activities.
The Turlock Irrigation District and Pacific Gas and Electric Company also responded to the scene to secure utilities, while Modesto Fire provided city coverage for the duration of the incident.
No injuries were reported, although two occupants were displaced as a result of the fire. They are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
