At about 12:07am Thursday morning, Officer E. Arroyo located a stolen vehicle parked at Montana Avenue and Freitas Park.
Arroyo contacted and detained the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Joaquin Rojas, 32, of Planada.
The vehicle was discovered to have been stolen out of Sonora the prior day, with Rojas being listed as the suspect and the victim being a relative of his.
Rojas was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of driving or taking a vehicle without the consent of its owner.
