On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, at 4:53 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported armed robbery that had just occurred at VIP Smoke Shop, 1560 Geer Rd, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they met with the victim who told them that two men had entered the business and approached him. One of the men pointed a handgun at the victim who responded by giving him $2,000 in cash and a large number of cigarette boxes. The two men then exited the business and fled the area northbound on Geer Rd in a white Toyota Camry with a license plate that didn’t belong to it.

The first man was described as a Black male adult wearing a red hat and a blue Reebok tracksuit, while the second man was simply described to be wearing all black and a hoodie.

Similar robberies were reported to have happened in Modesto by similarly described suspects.
