On Saturday, July 2nd, 2022, at 9:55 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported arson that had just occurred at Staples, 1850 Countryside Dr, Turlock, after a man had been seen setting a pillar attached to the building on fire in front of the business and walking away.
When officers arrived in the area, they located Zachary Pullar, 39, of Turlock, who matched the description of the suspect. Pullar was detained for further investigation.
Ultimately, witnesses were able to positively identify Pullar as the suspect.
Pullar was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of arson of an inhabited structure.
The damage from the fire was minimal and it was already out prior to anyone’s arrival. No injuries were reported.
