On Wednesday, May 5th, 2021, at approximately 7:40 pm, officers with the Turlock Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit made a traffic stop for multiple California Vehicle Code violations in the 400 block of Lander Ave.
During the stop, officers detained four subjects and established probable cause to search the vehicle. While conducting the search, officers located 28 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $28,000. Officers additionally located $35,000 in cash.
Ultimately, all four subjects were arrested and released on citation for possession of marijuana with the intent to sell and transporting marijuana with the intent to sell. The four subjects have been identified as Jose Penaloza, 33, of Turlock, Majid Hassan, 26, of Georgia, Riyad Sabir, 33, of Georgia, and Ali Mohamed, 29, of San Diego.
