At about 10:01pm Wednesday night, Officer Mulhim observed a driver in the 1000 block of Ryker Court violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on her.
Mulhim made contact with and identified the driver of the vehicle as Kasey Parrish, 42, of Delhi.
Mulhim went back to his patrol vehicle and had his dispatcher run Parrish, discovering that she had an expired driver’s license. As he reapproached her to lecture and release her, he observed a collapsible baton in plain view that she had put on her lap.
Mulhim removed Parrish from her vehicle and arrested her.
A search of Parrish’s vehicle was conducted incident to arrest, however, no further contraband was located.
Parrish was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of possession of a leaded cane and driving without a valid license, while her vehicle was impounded.
