On Monday, July 24th, 2023, at 9:00 am, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a reported sex offense at a residence in the 3300 block of Village Ave, Denair.

Deputies contacted the 25-year-old victim, who reported that he had been sexually assaulted by his friend, Darrin Allen, 56, of Denair.

The victim stated that he had met Allen at his residence on Village Age the prior evening to hang out, which resulted in the two consuming alcohol. The victim fell asleep and woke up between 2:00 am and 5:00 am to Allen sexually assaulting him. Due to being under the influence, the victim wasn’t able to stop Allen.

Allen was located and interviewed by detectives, who ended up getting a confession out of him.

The investigation revealed that Allen was a teacher at Denair High School and the victim was a former student of his, which is how the two met.

Allen was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of sexual battery and oral copulation.
