Three Turlock men are facing armed robbery charges in connection with robberies at pharmacies in Planada and Delhi.
The robberies occurred at pharmacies in Planada on May 21 and Delhi on June 18, said Merced County Sheriff’s spokesperson Sgt. Delray Shelton.
Three suspects, identified as Richard Allen Adams, 42, Hilberto Allen Adams, 24, and Orlando Brasil, 29, all of Turlock, allegedly robbed the two pharmacies of an undisclosed amount of pain medication, said Shelton.
After the first robbery, one of the suspects was arrested. During the course of the investigation, Merced County Sheriff’s detectives linked the three to both robberies, said Shelton.
On June 26, the three suspects were arrested by Merced County Sheriff’s deputies on multiple charges related to armed robbery.
Richard Allen Adams was booked for robbery, firearm use with a specific crime, masked during criminal possession of a firearm, and tampering with a firearm’s identification marks; Hilberto Allen Adams was booked for robbery, conspiracy, and masked during criminal possession of a firearm; and Brasil was booked for robbery and conspiracy.
All three remain in custody at the John Latorraca Correctional Center, according to jail records.
The Merced County Sheriff’s Office also served two search warrants at Turlock residences — one in the 500 block of Florence Street and the other in the 1300 block of Berry Drive.
The case remains under investigation.
