Turlock police are looking for a suspect who assaulted a female bar patron early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to La Cantina, located at 142 S. First St., shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday on the report of a large fight with beer bottles being thrown, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

A 23-year-old female victim told police she was approached by a male while she was sitting at a table. The male grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground, then began kicking her, said Lewis.

The suspect then struck the victim in the face with a glass bottle, said Lewis.

When officers arrived, the suspect had already fled in an unknown direction.

He was described as a Hispanic male with a dark complexion who was tall and thin. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue hat.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated on scene.
