Authorities arrested two female suspects on Monday after finding the duo driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Milpitas the prior week.
Officers from the Stanislaus County Auto Theft Task Force (StanCATT), with the assistance of the Turlock Police Department, located and followed a 1992 Jeep Cherokee on Monday.
The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Milpitas Police Services the week prior, on May 11, reports StanCATT.
Authorities followed the vehicle to Syracuse Avenue, just east of Golden State Boulevard, where it stopped at an apartment complex.
An enforcement stop was made and both the driver, Beatrice Rubio, 46, and passenger, Teresa Humphrey, 49, were taken into custody without incident.
Rubio was arrested on suspicion of auto theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, and violating her probation.
Humphrey was arrested on suspicion of auto theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled cannabis.
