A male subject used his brother’s name during a traffic stop in attempt to avoid arrest for a felony warrant in his name Saturday morning.
Turlock police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven in the 3100 block of Porshe Strasse by the male suspect, later identified as Vincent Hunter, 53, at approximately 11:08 a.m. on Saturday.
According to Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb, officers stopped the vehicle for an undisclosed traffic violation.
Hunter identified himself using his brother’s name and was being issued a citation for driving with a suspended license. He signed the citation with his brother’s name, said Webb.
Upon further investigation, officers found that Hunter had falsely identified himself and discovered he had a felony warrant for possession of stolen property out of Palo Alto.
Hunter was arrested for the felony warrant and false impersonation.
