Emanuel Medical Center is offering free health screenings at the Path to Health Fair on Saturday, Jan. 31.
Free diabetes screenings, cholesterol screenings, and blood pressure checks will be offered at the fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday in Emanuel’s east wing.
In addition, attendees can learn compression-only CPR in less than 10 minutes and talk to hospital staff about insurance options under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The free health fair is part of the hospital’s community outreach and education initiative that aims to raise awareness under ACA and the insurance options available to those either without insurance or looking to change plans.
Advance registration for the Path to Health Fair is not required, but the first 100 to register will receive a first aid kit. To register, call 209-250-5355.
In addition to the fair, trained enrollment counselors are available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays to answer questions or assist with the enrollment process.
