Richard Holder, 81, of Turlock passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, December 17. He was born in Tahoka, TX to Parker and Zadie Holder in 1928. Richard was raised in Domingo, NM and moved to California in 1941. He settled in Turlock in 1960. Richard worked for Thirty years as an automobile mechanic for Patchett’s Ford and Smith Chevrolet. He was a member of Calvary 1st Assembly of God in Hilmar. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Richard was survived by his children Floyd Holder and Stanley Holder; sisters Dorothy Carrol and Ella Frances Pace; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Holder and son Gordon Holder.
Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. A visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Sunday, December 20 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A funeral will be held at Allen Mortuary on Monday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. and burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
