A 4 year old boy was killed in a three car collision that occurred at Bradbury and S. Walnut Road on Monday at 9:10am. Melissa Moody, 28 of Turlock, and 2 year old Emry Moody were also in the vehicle that the 4 year old was killed in but survived the crash and were flown to hospitals according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP reports say that Melissa Moody was driving a 2005 Mini Cooper eastbound on Bradbury Road, west of Walnut Road, when hit Daniel Valle, 61 of Turlock, who was waiting for a Ford Thunderbird to pass by to turn left.
Moody failed to stop for un unknown reason and hit Valle’s 1991 Honda Civic, sending Moody’s Mini Cooper rotating into the westbound lane as a result of the collision and the front of the Ford Thunderbird, driven by Alfredo Correa, 56 of Livingston, collided with the left side of the Mini Cooper.
The 4 year old in right rear passenger seat of the Mini suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The left rear passenger, 2 year old Emry Moody, was transported by Helicopter to Davis Medical Center with major injuries. Melissa Moody was transported by Helicopter to Memorial Medical Center with major injuries.
Alfredo Correa who was driving of the Ford Thunderbird and his passenger Abel Cortez, 17 of Livingston, were transported to Doctors Hospital with minor injuries.
All of the parties to this collision were using vehicle safety restraints. Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected at this time.
The 4 year old’s name is being withheld until the coroner completes their initial investigation and the family can be notified.
