At about 3:26pm Tuesday afternoon, Turlock Police, Turlock Fire, and American Medical Response responded to an injury vehicle collision in the 4100 block of N. Kilroy Road.
The caller reported that a Pitman High student had been struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in front of the school and that he was lying in the roadway bleeding.
When units arrived on scene, they found that the 15-year-old boy had been struck by a maroon 2015 Chrysler 300.
An air ambulance had originally been requested by responding fire units, but when they arrived on scene and assessed the student’s minor injuries, made the decision to cancel it.
The student was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital as a precaution.
The driver of the vehicle that had struck the student was identified as a 16-year-old boy. He remained on scene and was cooperative with officers, however, didn’t have a valid driver’s license. He was uninjured.
At the time of this report, it’s currently unclear if he was also a Pitman student.
The 16-year-old was not arrested at the scene.
How the collision occurred has not been released.
