As Mayoral candidates Gary Soiseth and Mike Brem report new, large contributions, Brem has again failed to report a contribution within the required 24 hours period. Per Fair Political Practices Commission rules, between Aug. 6 and the election date candidates are required to report any contributions a candidate has received or made of $1,000 or more within 24 hours.
Concerned citizens flooded the Candidate Forum hosted by The League of Women Voters of Stanislaus County at a standing room only City Hall Wednesday night to gain information on the five candidates running for the two open Turlock City Council seats. Forrest White, Bill DeHart, Matthew Jacob, Donald Babadalir and Sergio Alvarado all began with short introductions regarding their qualifications for candidacy and reasons for running.
On Sept. 28, TurlockCityNews.com broke a story about the City of Turlock sending an insert created by the Citizens for Yes on Measure B in the September utility bills. The City could face consequences for sending out the inserts, which include the website http://www.fixturlockroads.com/ and some “educational” information taken verbatim from the website.

I have lived in Turlock since 1992. In March of this year I retired as President of SupHerb Farms. I continue to work for SupHerb Farms on a part-time basis.

I was born and raised in Turlock, growing up on the same 20-acre Turlock farm my grandfather purchased after his return from World War II. Aside from my time living in Berkeley, India, and Washington, DC for school and in Afghanistan for work, I have lived in Turlock all of my life.

I am proud to be a lifelong resident of Turlock. My family and I own and operate Bianca’s Bridal Couture in Modesto. Additionally I have created multiple online start-ups to extend the transnational sales ability of our local brick-and-mortar operation.
