Frank Goldsmith, Sr.
October 1941 - March 2015

Frank Goldsmith, Sr., age 73, died at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, on Friday, March 6, 2015. He was born October 21, 1941, in Turlock to David and Eugie (Phillips) Goldsmith. He attended Turlock schools before he enlisted in the United States Army in 1959, serving 2 1/2 years in Germany. After his honorable discharge he came back to Turlock where he became an operating Engineer for 45 years and worked all over California.

Frank was past commander of the American Legion and belonged to the American Legion Riders. He enjoyed motorcycles, camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking care of his family.

He is survived by his wife Carol Goldsmith of Turlock; two daughters Pamela Goldsmith of Turlock and Rhonda (Keith) Watts of Meridian, Idaho; son Frank Goldsmith, Jr. of Turlock; and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Ed Goldsmith, Lynn Goldsmith, and Sue Luz all of Turlock. He is preceded in death by his brother David Goldsmith.

A celebration of life will be held 10:00 am on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Allen Mortuary.

He will be laid to rest at the San Joaquin Valley National Veterans Cemetery in Santa Nella on Monday, March 23rd at 2:30pm.
