Turlock police officers have responded to Columbia Avenue and taped off a crime scene. At around 7 p.m., the Turlock Police Department responded to the 800 block of Columbia Avenue for a call of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Turlock police responded to a robbery call, while also getting a report about an officer being shot. This morning, the Turlock Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at the CVS located on Geer Road.
All parties involved in a three vehicle collision on Golden State Boulevard, that occurred Wednesday morning, are believed to be in stable condition. “The exact circumstances of the collision are still under investigation at this time,” reported Turlock Police Department spokesman officer Steve Rodrigues. “All parties who were involved in this traffic collision are believed to be in stable condition.”
Turlock police officers have blocked off southbound Golden State Boulevard between Atherstone Road and Taylor as they investigate a major vehicle collision. This morning, two damaged vehicles are in the middle of the intersection of Golden State and Atherstone. Both have sustained heavy damage to the rear.

First Ever Turlock Comic-Con February 4, 2017

Turlock will be host to its first ever Comic-Con, organized by Ziggy, of Ziggy’s Video Game Exchange. As the first ever Turlock Comic-Con has neared, the hype for the convention has grown. With numerous special attractions, cosplayers, and vendors have been announced for the big day, Turlock Comic-Con is seeking to bring a taste of the big conventions to Turlock and a true local outlet for anyone who’s ever been fascinated with collectibles, music, or movies.
Charter customers are dealing with an outage affecting multiple areas. Charter representatives have indicated that there have been outages affecting Escalon and Turlock.
A four vehicle collision has caused congestion along the detour through the Monte Vista Crossings shopping center. Southbound Countryside Drive had four vehicles involved in a collision in the left lane, temporarily blocking traffic for passersby in the southbound lane.

Turlock now has its own See’s Candies, a permanent shop and not just a temporary seasonal location. While See’s Candies has opened up shop in Turlock previously, the locations have been seasonal for the holidays. This is the first shop that will be making its home in Turlock permanent. Doors are opening just in time for the Christmas season, too.
In an election year where ethics has been a focus for elections, farmers’ markets, and campaign finance reform, Councilwoman Amy Bublak will be taking both the Oath of Office and an Oath of Ethics, an oath she has taken before a judge since 2008. When first elected to Turlock City Council in 2008, Councilwoman Bublak, a former police officer, likened the public service of a City Councilmember to that of a police officer, and took an Oath of Ethics, similar to a police officer’s, in addition to her Oath of Office. While similar to the oath a police officer would take, Councilwoman Bublak wrote this oath specifically for the Turlock City Council to take voluntarily.
