Turlock firefighters are on the scene of a vehicle collision between a big rig and black Ford on West Main Street, near the southbound Highway 99 on ramp. The incident occurred at approximately 2:02 p.m. and preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol that the big rig ran through the intersection hitting the black jeep and continued southbound.

Traffic Advisory: Overturned Vehicle

Turlock firefighters and police have responded to the scene of a collision that has left a one vehicle overturned. Just before 8 a.m., the Turlock Fire and Police departments arrived to the scene where a vehicle was overturned in the area of East Marshall Street and South Palm Street.
The Turlock Fire Department has responded to a structure fire on Hedstrom Road, across the street near Raley's and just east of Starbucks on Geer Road. Turlock firefighters are scene and battling a fully involved single structure fire on Hedstrom Road, and working to contain it.
The Turlock Police Department advised drivers of road closures due to a vehicle accident in the area of South Center Street, South Berkeley, and F Street. The California Highway Patrol responded. California Highway Patrol officers are on the scene of a fatality on the 1000 block of South Center Street.

Renegade Brewing Supplies, a new business coming to Turlock, is bringing a passion for homebrewing and waging “special warfare” against bad beer.
The Turlock Police Department has set up a perimeter near the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Marshall Road near Turlock High School. Police officers are in the area searching for a subject that brandished a gun at Sunnyview Park at approximately 2:24 p.m.

At-Risk 82 Year-old Turlock Man Missing

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding an at-risk missing person from Turlock. John Louis Silveira, 82, was last seen at 1 p.m., near his residency at St. Francis Assisted Care, located in the 100 block of 20th Century Boulevard in Turlock.
The Turlock Police Department is asking for the community's help in seeking the whereabouts of Joe Silveira Vieira, a missing at-risk adult. Vieira is described as a 52 year old white male and was last seen within Turlock around 10 a.m. on Apr. 27, driving his white 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 single cab pickup.

Farm House, a local downtown business, is seeking the community's help in finding their missing windmill “mascot.” Noticeable for its unique presence outside Farm House and its placement on the business’s Facebook profile photo, the windmill acts as a mascot for the downtown business. However, after being left out overnight, their mascot is no longer there. 
The rivalry between the Turlock High School Bulldogs and Pitman High School Pride will be heating up as the culinary action spills to the outside for a battle of barbeque in this year’s Iron Chef competition. Pride and Bulldogs will have one hour to prepare three meals for five judges in the 4th edition of the annual contest. However, as with previous years, the challenge in Turlock’s iteration of Iron Chef, an event and fundraiser put on by Turlock Education Foundation, continues to evolve.
