TurlockCityNews.com Facebook followers reported that there was a fire at the North Walnut + West Main Carl's Jr. Turlock Police and Turlock Rural Fire responded to a car that had caught on fire. No injuries were reported.
Turlock's Pitman High School graduate and “The Amazing Race” contestant Ally Mello has been nominated for ILikeToVote.com’s Hottest Female Reality TV Star of 2013.
Early this morning, messages of a power outage in Downtown Turlock were sent to TurlockCityNews.com by business owners and operators who could not open for their customers and clients due to not having electricity.

Christoffersen Crash Injury Updates

Three people are injured, but remain alive after a car crashed into a light pole, through a fence, and ran into a tree on the California State University, Stanislaus campus. The accident occurred  at 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, as a green Acura Integra traveled eastbound on Christoffersen Parkway crashing onto the CSU Stanislaus campus, just north of the student residential parking lot.
California State University Stanislaus reported that at approximately 5:15 a.m. today, a car traveling on Christoffersen Parkway left the road and crashed into a fence and tree on the CSU Stanislaus campus. The car was traveling east on Christoffersen Parkway, just north of the campus residential parking lot. Police from CSU Stanislaus and the City of Turlock responded, along with Turlock firefighters and paramedics.
Allison “Ally” Mello, 23, a Pitman High School graduate, and her partner Ashley Covert, 25, were eliminated last night from the hit CBS show, “The Amazing Race.” Mello and Covert performed well in the race, making it to the final five out of 11 competing teams before being eliminated in the ninth leg.
