Family and friends have identified the person that Turlock police found deceased near Turlock railroad tracks on Saturday morning, and previous to a GoFundMe page made in support of the family, was unidentified. A GoFundMe donation page has been created to raise funds for the family of Aundre Rawlins.
A new, large shopping sign is being installed near the W. Main Street overpass of Highway 99. Some Turlockers noticed the top of the sign, which says "Turlock" in large letters, while it was still on the trailer being transported.
A Facebook post being shared by many Turlockers advises the community to be aware after a strange incident occurred last week. According to the Facebook post, which has been shared more than 1,200 times as of Tuesday night, a male subject was in the dugout at the baseball field at Julien Elementary School on July 14.

Missing Oakdale Teen Has Been Found

The 13-year-old Oakdale teen that was reportedly missing since 8 a.m. Friday was found safely on Saturday afternoon. Elijah Bailey, 13, of Oakdale, had been reported missing, but was located at an Oakdale residence on Saturday afternoon.
An Oakdale community Facebook group is seeking help locating a 13-year-old boy who has been reportedly missing since Friday morning. According to the Facebook thread posted in the Oakdale Area Incident Feed, Elijah Bailey, 13, of Oakdale, has been missing since 8 a.m. Friday.
Starbucks stores nationwide, including in Turlock, will be open as usual after experiencing a register outage that caused the closure of most of its locations. Last night, the corporation acknowledged the outage and stated, "We are actively working to resolve the outage. Our stores that have not already closed for the evening are closing early."
A family is asking for the public’s help in locating their missing relative. Turlock Police released a missing person advisory stating that Brian Phillip Campbell, 36, has not been seen or heard from since December 2014.

The Mayor of Turlock seat and two Turlock City Council seats are up for grabs on Nov. 4 when Turlock voters will vote at least one new member into the City government. Gary Soiseth and Mike Brem are going head-to-head for the seat left vacant by Mayor John Lazar, who announced he would not seek reelection.
