Emanuel Cancer Center is now offering free mammograms for uninsured women ages 40 and older.

The free mammograms are available for the first 100 women who sign up.

Early detection for breast cancer maximizes a woman’s treatment rates and chances of survival.

“With science catching up with breast cancer, survivor rates are higher than ever,” explained Michael Iltis, the executive director of Emanuel Cancer Center. “But treatment can begin only once cancer has been detected. Scheduling your mammogram today will either give you peace of mind or help increase your chances of living a long, healthy life in the event cancer is detected.”

To schedule a mammogram, call Emanuel Cancer Center at 209-669-4600.

Oh awesome. I'm going to cancel my insurance and sign up! I HAVE insurance but still can't afford medical services since I'm paying for those who DONT have insurance as well. (so by free you actually mean paid for by insurance holders)

Thank you NO Bama. And where is my $2,400.00 insurance premium you said I would save when Nobama care went into effect.

These efforts would be better spent signing the people up for insurance. In California with MediCal expansion and Covered California, there is no reason for anyone to not have health insurance coverage.
