Evangelina is survived by her husband, Jose Raul Hinojosa, sons, Jose Hinojosa (Dana), Hugo Hinojosa (Bernadette), daughter, Rosa Nelly Ishoo (Edmond), grandchildren, Lindsey and Brandon McMillan, Michael, Jennifer, Devan and Haley Hinojosa, Step-grandchildren, Robin Taghizadeh, Joshua and Caitlin Ishoo. She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by a son, Gerardo Hinojosa in May of 2014.

He was born October 21, 1941, in Turlock to David and Eugie (Phillips) Goldsmith. He attended Turlock schools before he enlisted in the United States Army in 1959, serving 2 1/2 years in Germany.

Born in Madera in 1933, he joined the Naval Reserve while still in high school. After receiving his B.A. from Fresno State College with highest honors, he went on active duty with the U.S.S. Princeton in the far east. He went on to earn his M.A. and Ph.D. at Stanford University where he met his future wife, Patricia Marks (Deceased).
