Saturday at the Stanislaus County Fair, Saturday is Emanuel Cancer Center Day at the Fair. Emanuel Cancer Center will be giving away free gifts to the first 1,000 guests at the Fair. Saturday is Senior Free Day, 65 and older receive free Fair admission and a ride on the carousel. Saturday night is the night to see Foreigner on the Variety Free Stage at 8pm. The concert is free with the price of Fair admission. In the Arena, Derby II: Metal Mayhem, will be smashing and crashing at 6:30pm. Arena tickets are sold in addition to Fair admission and can be purchased online at the Stancofair website or in person at the Fair box office located at 900 N. Broadway, Turlock.

The 2012 Fair will feature the highly popular Rainforest Adventure, along with the Rainforest Animal Shows sponsored by Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital. Also planned for 2012 are nine nights of metal-mashing motorsports plus one night of rodeo in the Arena, a total of four stages of live entertainment, upwards of 30,000 local exhibits and over 1,750 animals.
The Fairgrounds open at 12pm and the exhibit buildings close at 11pm, while the carnival closes at 12am on Saturday.
