Investment expert and co-founder of Motley Fool David Gardner will be speaking at California State University, Stanislaus on Feb. 26. Gardner will give a free and down-to-earth presentation on money management and making rational financial decisions. The “Eight Foolish Thoughts on Investing, Business and Life” featuring Gardner is part of the Executive Speaker Series at CSU Stanislaus.
A California State University, Stanislaus student is partnering with the Assyrian American Civic Club, the Assyrian Wellness Collaborative, and Behavioral Health and Recovery Services to host an Assyrian Wellness Faire. The Wellness Faire will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15 at the Assyrian Civic Club.

The Turlock Certified Farmers Market will be moving to a new day when it begins this spring. The market, which was Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be moving to Saturdays at the same time beginning May 2.
The Don Pedro Recreation Agency has announced that the water level at Don Pedro is now sufficient to reopen the unimproved water boat facility at the Moccasin Point Recreation Area. The low water unimproved ramp’s grade is still too shallow for launching deep hulled boats, but it is usable for launching shallow draft boats.
Thousands of classic car lovers from across the nation are expected to roll into Turlock this weekend for one of America's marquee antique auto events, the Turlock Swap Meet. The 49th annual Turlock Swap Meet will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds, located at 900 N. Broadway.
