Beer drinkers rejoice! For the third consecutive year, one of the state’s premiere celebrations of craft beer will be hosted in Turlock. The third annual Central Valley Brewfest will be bigger and hoppier than ever when it returns to the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds from 1 to 5 p.m. on May 9.
Tickets are currently available for the third annual Garden Tour, hosted by the Turlock Garden Club. The Garden Tour will take place on Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Grammy Award winner Steven Curtis Chapman will be the keynote speak at the 22nd annual Turlock Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. This year’s Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will be hosted on from 6:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on May 19 at the Assyrian American Civic Hall, located at 2618 N. Golden State Blvd.
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr will be visiting Turlock on April 20 to speak at a benefit for the Turlock Gospel Mission. Tickets are currently available for the event, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. April 20 at Monte Vista Chapel. Tickets are $20 for general seating and $40 for preferred seating.

Walnut Elementary Education Center will perform its spring musical, Peter Pan, Jr., on March 31 and April 1. Each performance will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets for dessert and the musical are $5 each and can be purchased at the Walnut Elementary office located at 4219 N. Walnut Rd.
More than 500 cyclists will converge onto Turlock Lake for the fifth annual Turlock Lake Road Race (TLRR) on Saturday, March 28. In its fifth year, the race is the biggest yet, as the TLRR was named as the 2015 Northern California Nevada Cycling Association (NCNCA) Masters Road Race Championship.
Another big change is coming for the 6th year of the Turlock Certified Farmers’ Market. TCFM has announced that it will be moving its location, from Broadway Avenue and West Main Street to Main Street, between Center and Palm streets.
